WHO WE ARE

 

The Back 80 is a vegetable and grain farm located 7 miles east of New Richmond, Wisconsin. Our land has been in our family since 1950 when Dan’s grandparents purchased the farm. The land we farm now has always been known to us as “The 80”.  Although we have a slightly different approach to modern farming, we utilize organic principles, not using any chemicals or pesticides, just like it was when my Grandparents farmed “The 80”. We are dedicated to growing only the best and freshest produce for CSA’s, markets, and you!

 

We believe in regenerative agriculture – creating healthy soil that is full of biological life, capable of producing high quality, nutrient dense food. We do this by use of cover crops, living mulch and compost, and no chemicals. Ultimately leading to productive farms, healthy communities, and healthy local economies.

Our belief is healthy land produces healthy food which in turn builds a healthy person.
