WHAT IS COMMUNITY SUPPORTED AGRICULTURE?

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is an investment in your health, your community, and your local economy. CSA is more than just a weekly delivery of food or food products. It’s a partnership between a farm and a consumer that keeps independent farms thriving and families eating seasonal, locally grown produce. CSA farmers and consumers build a strong and equitable food system by sharing in the risk of the harvest. The idea of shared risk is part of what creates a sense of community amongst CSA members and the farmers.  As your farmers, we will do our best to always provide a weekly harvest, but mother nature ultimately holds the determining factors.  If mother nature takes out the tomatoes, we root for the peppers and squash. As a member, you receive a weekly delivery or On-Farm pickup of vegetables through the 20-week high growing season from June-October.

Once you’re enrolled in our farm, the real fun begins as the weekly box of freshly picked, seasonal goodies arrive at your doorstep, just like the milkman of the days gone by!

WHAT TO EXPECT IN YOUR BOX DURING THE SEASON

Beans, beets, bok/pak choi, broccoli, brussel sprouts, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, celery, cucumbers, eggplant, fennel, garlic, greens/lettuces, kale, kohlrabi, leeks, melons, onions, parsnips, peas, peppers, potatoes, pumpkins, radishes, shallots, spinach, squash, sweet corn, swiss chard, tomatoes, turnips, watermelon, etc… as we grow you benefit!

We will announce farm fun days and educational opportunities to keep in touch with your farmers and to learn more about where your food comes from.
